We all take different paths after leaving school, and sometimes the most valuable advice comes from those who have been through the same decisions themselves.
This year, SWPS has introduced a new Enrichment Programme for students across the school, giving them dedicated time to develop new skills, explore their interests and think about their future education and career choices.
As part of this programme, we would love to hear from our alumni and invite you to share your experiences by recording a short video, up to 15 minutes long, offering advice and sharing your experiences since leaving SWPS. These videos will be shared with our current students as part of the programme.
What could you talk about?
There is no set format, and you certainly don't need to cover everything. Here are a few suggestions to get you thinking:
How to get involved
You don't need any special equipment or professional filming experience. A video recorded on your phone or laptop is absolutely fine. We're simply interested in hearing your story, in your own words.
Once you've recorded your video, please let us know by emailing alumni@swps.org.uk, so we know to expect it. If possible, we'd be grateful if you could send your video using WeTransfer, particularly for larger files, and use the alumni email as the recipient email address.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss your video before recording, please do get in touch. We'd be very happy to help.
We hope to build a collection of videos reflecting the many different careers, experiences and pathways of our alumni community. Whatever route you've taken, your experiences could offer valuable guidance to students who are just beginning to consider their own futures.
We would love you to be part of it, and thank you, as always, for supporting the next generation of SWPS students.
