On Saturday 7 October 2023, we welcome Perkonians back to SWPS from the Class of 1963, 1964, 1974, 1980, 1987, 2012, 2013, 2017, 2020 and 2023. The weather was so delightful we could have hosted the afternoon tea outdoors.

Afternoon tea was enjoyed in the newly decorated Atrium which was flooded with the beautiful afternoon sunshine. Perkionians sat together on one long dining table to enjoy a sumptious feast of afternoon tea delights whilst reminiscing and catching up with their school friends. 

SWPS student ambassadors from Year 8, 9 and 10 enjoyed the tea and chatted with our special guests before taking Perkonians on a tour of the school, an opportunity for Perkonians to see what has changed over the years, and for our student ambassadors to gain an understanding of how school life was at SWPS before they joined the school.

Photographs, school magazines and year books were brought out of the archives and could be enjoyed throughout the afternoon.

The SWPS chef prepared a delicious selection of sandwiches, freshly baked cakes and scones with clotted cream and jam, all washed down with pots of tea.
