After decades of dedicated service, Alethea Gomez will be retiring this summer. She first joined SWPS in 1990 as a passionate German teacher, and after a short time away, returned in 2005 - going on to spend the next 20 years inspiring generations of students with her love for language and culture. Her leadership of the Bocholt Exchange has created unforgettable experiences and lifelong friendships.
She leaves us as our much-admired Head of German and her commitment to her students, her department, and the wider school community has been nothing short of extraordinary. She leaves behind a legacy of excellence, warmth, and unwavering dedication.
We would love to invite our alumni community to be part of this special farewell. To mark the occasion, we are holding an informal retirement tea for Alethea at SWPS on Wednesday 9 July from 5.30pm-7.30pm and we'd love you to join us.
If you would like to join us, please register your attendance, to help us with numbers for catering purposes.
Alethea's retirement tea will be taking place in the Atrium at SWPS from 5.30pm.
